Picturesque long stretches
of sandy beaches can be seen all along our coastline.
Throughout the year, you can see birds such as Wagtails, Dunlin
and Plovers running along the shore looking for insects in
the rotting plant material that has washed up on the shore.
In autumn and winter, you can also see large flocks of migratory
birds such as Geese and Waders that are resting on the beaches
after their long flights from the Canadian Artic and Scandinavia.
